Tom Kobayashi
Architect
Tom Kobayashi is a German-Japanese architectural designer and researcher. His work joins perception-driven and data-informed methods — eye-tracking, environmental measurement, thermal comfort analysis — to design decisions, across practice in Europe and Japan. He studied at the Technical University of Munich, spent a year at the EPFL in Lausanne, and took his master's degree at TU Delft, where his graduation thesis on the retrofit of Japan's first high-rise office building was awarded cum laude. He has worked at Mount Fuji Architects Studio in Tokyo and at studio terrain in Munich, and at Munich he designed Quattro together with Tassilo de la Torre.

Tassilo de la Torre Schönborn
Architect
Tassilo de la Torre is a Spanish-German architect. He was born in 2002 in Santiago de Chile and went to school in Chile, Spain, Nicaragua, Belgium, Bolivia and Germany, finishing with the German Abitur at the German School of La Paz. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and spent a year at La Sapienza in Rome, in the master's course in restoration. He has restored historic stone buildings in Spain and Italy with his own hands: he led the restoration of the Casa Palacio de los Manrique in Atienza from the site, working with the building team by day and drawing in the evenings, and wrote LA OBRA, the book on those works. He photographs; in 2025 he travelled through Türkiye to study the architecture of antiquity, and he leads the expedition that is trying to save the ninth-century basilica of Nuka Sakdari there. He holds that first-hand experience of how a building site works is what allows an architect to design something practical and respectful.
